BIG ARTS Center Box Office, Gift Shop and Administrative Office hours are
9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday (October through April)

The Herb Strauss Theater Box Office opens one hour prior to the show, and is open
2 to 8 PM, Monday through Saturday (November through April)


BIG ARTS Center (BAC) is located at 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel, Florida, between City Hall and the Historical Museum.
Herb Strauss Theater (HST), is located at 2200 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.


Parking is available on-site at BIG ARTS, the parking lot is adjacent to the Historical Village and Museum. Additional parking is also available in the City of Sanibel lots and the Sanibel Public Library lots on Dunlop Road. The City of Sanibel has installed and widened shared-use paths, installed an additional pedestrian bridge, and lighted these areas to improve connectivity to the City Hall and Sanibel Public Library parking lots.

Herb Strauss Theater has on-site parking.

Free, on-site motor coach/tour bus parking is available at both venues.


Schein Performance Hall loge seating will be available after series holders are assigned, based on the date the order forms are received (subject to availability).
Herb Strauss Theater seating will be available after subscription holders are assigned, based on the date the order forms are received (subject to availability).

Loge Pricing:

Loge seating for many of the Music and Dance concerts is $5 more than floor seating and will be reserved. This applies to all patrons, both members and nonmembers.
Please note that some programs are general admission.

Student (with Student ID) and Child:

Reduced price for Student/Child 17 and under (when accompanied by paying adult) to HST performances.

Student/Child pricing eligible for:
1. Schein Hall events series discount
2. Loge seating when accompanied by paying adult

All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to be admitted into the performance hall.

For Your Comfort:

The temperature in our venues varies due to stage lighting and air conditioning. Please consider bringing an additional layer, jacket, or sweater.

Last Minute Cancellations:

If you find that you canít use your ticket on the date of the performance, PLEASE call and let us know as early as possible. We can accept your ticket as a donation to BIG ARTS and issue a letter for tax purposes.

Refunds and Exchanges:

Tickets are non-refundable but may be exchanged 48 hours in advance for another performance or event through BIG ARTS Marks Box Office or Herb Strauss Theater Box Office. If exchange is for a ticket of lesser value, no money is refunded; if exchange is made for a ticket of greater value, the difference must be paid at the time of purchase. Series holders must maintain their event minimum to retain their discount.

BIG ARTS is committed to bringing the best of the performing arts to everyone. If you have special needs please contact BIG ARTS Marks Box Office at (239) 395-0900 or HST Box Office at (239) 472-6862, so reasonable efforts can be made to accommodate you. Assistive listening devices are available.
Wheelchair-accessible seating is available for all events on a first-come, first-served basis, please mention special seating requests when placing your ticket order. There are wheelchair-accessible ramps into Schein Performance Hall and Herb Strauss Theater.

Group Sales:

Groups of ten or more are eligible for discounts to select shows. For more information contact the BIG ARTS office (239) 395-0900.


All BIG ARTS facilities are completely smoke-free.


Schein Performance Hall and HST open approximately 30 minutes prior to curtain. Latecomers will be seated at discretion of management. In the case of a sold-out event, BIG ARTS reserves the right to re-sell seats unclaimed at curtain time.
