The DUKES of Dixieland wear their New Orleans jazz heritage proudly. As globe-trotting jazz ambassadors from the heart of the Big Easy they weave strands of pop, gospel, and country with authentic New Orleans sounds, and with more than 32 years of tradition behind them, they are the oldest continuing Dixieland jazz band. Today's Dukes step forward with a sound that is durable and flexible, as jazz is meant to be. Tommy Dorsey Orchestra

Tommy Dorsey once said “It’s about time somebody got things going again … You can’t expect to have any real interest in dance bands if the bands don’t go around the country and play for the kids.” The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra carries on the legacy of the “Sentimental Gentleman of Swing” as, now led by famed trombonist Buddy Morrow, it travels the country playing for “kids” of all ages. Performing at varied venues from dances to jazz concerts, they maintain the authentic sound and style while managing excellent elasticity. With a library consisting of classic Dorsey Orchestra numbers along with Dixieland, rhythm and blues, intricate ballads, progressive jazz, and contemporary tunes, their concerts appeal to a range of tastes.

The Freddy Cole Quartet in Concert

Hailed by the New York Times as "the most maturely expressive male jazz singer of his generation, if not the best alive," Freddy Cole's voice is raspier, smokier, and jazzier than brother Nat's. His vocals are suave, elegant, formidable, and articulate – among the most respected in jazz. He has a style and musical sophistication all his own, with an impeccable sense of swing. A "gorgeous autumnal baritone, expressive phrasing and pitch-perfect feel for jazz standards, pop tunes and love ballads." (People Magazine)

Nellie McKay

A talented young pianist, Nellie McKay brings an unlikely combination of influences and genres to her music, from Tin Pan Alley pop and cabaret to reggae, rap and jazz. Combine luxe jazz vocalist Julie London with a rapper and you'll get a sense of this unique singer-songwriter's charm as these elements mysteriously gel with her evocative, playful, and bold lyrics. McKay crafts piano-based standards that bristle with smart, thorny lyrics and she delivers them with lingering languor, then rat-a-tat bravado. Incredibly clever and witty, McKay's eclectic style and sharp lyrics distinguish her as an original voice in the world of music.

Jil Aigrot

Jil Aigrot, the singing voice of Edith Piaf in the film La Vie En Rose, is as passionate and magnificent in concert with her homage to Edith Piaf as she is on film. On stage she channels Piaf's sound and body language, but between each song she talks to the audience in her own natural voice. In the superb program all of the great Piaf are not only relived but given a special magic with Aigrot’s stunning voice. When Aigrot sings, it is not just another voice of the sparrow, as Piaf was called, but a modern energy giving the old songs new life.
